Canary Wharf
was shot on a very white sky day, where the weather was very changeable from one
minute
to the next. Canary Wharf aka Isle of Dogs has various Banks in the Area and as
such the place is full of
Bankers. If your into Skyscrapers or architecture then this may well be your
thing but leave the kids at home
as they will get very bored very quickly. If your planning a photo shoot around
the area be warned that
Security Guards will try to stop you for security reasons. The excuse they make
is pretty lame when
you consider Google Earth's talents and as such I totally ignored his request to
stop.
River Thames
was shot at various times using various cameras therefore the off the camera
shots will
be different sizes. The shots are taken between The Thames Barrier and
Wandsworth, including
Tower Bridge, Battersea park and Power station plus City Hall and Albert Bridge.
Britannic and Royal Gardens
5 parks are included here, Hyde, Green and Regents Park plus
Kensington and Kew Gardens. I have been to all these parks time after time and
never become
bored with any of them. Of them all i suppose Kew Gardens is the less visited as
this is a
Britannic park which you have to pay entry for, and its not cheap. Green Park is
mainly picturesque
and boasts a lot of Birdlife including 2 Pelicans which seem to roam freely.
Early Spring will
see a very large amount of baby birds of all types in this park. Hyde Park and
Kensington Gardens
are joined at the hip and are very busy parks where there is always something
going on.
There is a boating lake (Serpentine), Restaurant (s), Burger bars and a place
where people can show
off their skating skills (or not). Hyde park is also home to the Princess Diana
Memorial which you cannot
stand up in or you get whinged at by an unpleasant caretaker who uses ignorance
as his prime weapon.
Regents Park is the Most picturesque of them all and is very quite in places. If
you want to sleep and
get burned in the British summer this is the place to do it. Next to Regents
park is London Zoo which
is not Featured here as yet.
